Use this feature to migrate the configuration of a NGASI account from one server to another. NOTE: Migration should not be confused with Backup/Restore functions.
You must first Specify the Configuration Database from the backup of the Source NGASI. The file is called db.sql and is located in the backup directory. It is generated during the NGASI backup process. NGASI must be configured to perform backups.
NOTE: The Web Account with all the contents of its directory should already have been restored or migrated to the target server. If using cPanel you would follow the cPanel process to restore an account. If on Plesk, follow the Plesk documentation. Plesk backups do not include the appservers sub directory. So that directory would manually need to be copied over to the new server.
The steps to Migrate are: 1)Login to NGASI AppServer Manager as Administrator. 2)Click the "Administrator Tools" Fisheye Menu Item. 3)Click the "Migrate" tab. 4)Upload the backup "db.sql" file from the source NGASI AppServer Manager. 5)Click "Configure" 6)Select Accounts to migrate. 5)Click the "Migrate" button when done.
NOTE: To receive a notification of the results of the migration, enter a value for "migration_notify_admin" in the wsportal.properties file. (/usr/ngasi/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/ws/webapps/appservermgr/ZP-INF/wsportal.properties)
